Family sessions are designed to feel easy and natural and timeless, even for those who don’t love being photographed. I begin by connecting with everyone, especially the little ones, and sharing a simple flow for the session so you know what to expect. We start with relaxed, group portraits, move into various groupings and individuals, then allow space to play. I’ll gently guide you throughout, but nothing is forced—if kids need a break, we move with it. The goal is a session that feels more like an effortless, fun evening together than a photo shoot.
What to expect
Family portraits can take place anywhere in Colorado and can include just your immediate family or extend to parents, grandparents, your siblings, and beyond. If you’re unsure where to shoot, I’ll share my curated location guide with favorite spots and what to expect at each. And of course, I’m always happy to answer questions and help you plan a session that feels just right for your family.

Sessions unfold slowly over a couple of hours, allowing plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes, and simply settling in. We’ll photograph in your home, using the spaces that already hold meaning: your nursery, bedroom, and living room, so the images feel personal and lived-in. I’ll gently guide where needed, but the focus is on natural moments and honest interaction, resulting in timeless photographs that reflect the beauty of your family exactly as you are in this season.

Newborn sessions are quiet, tender, and deeply intimate. This season is fleeting, and my approach honors it as it truly is: soft, imperfect, and full of love. 01. Make an inquiry
We will schedule an introductory meeting to get to know each other a little better and discuss your expectations. For shoots I ask for a $75 retainer, for weddings I ask for a 50% retainer to secure your date.
02. Booking & payment
About three weeks before the wedding or our session, you will receive a comprehensive guide from me in your mailbox. In this guide you will find all kinds of tips and tricks to make our photo session go smoothly.
03. Tips & advice for the big day
The day has arrived and everyone is super excited including me! I will not only be your photographer, I'll also be your personal cheerleader. Any initial nerves will quickly disappear - I promise!
04. The big day is here!
I edit all images very carefully. Within 3 to 4 weeks from the session date or wedding, you will receive a password protected online gallery where you can see and download the images. For weddings you will receive a preview in your online gallery within 5 days.
05. Editing & delivery
If you simply can't choose favorite images, you can always upgrade your package to more images. Please get in touch for the rates of the upgrade packages!

The process
Yes! Mini sessions are held a few times each year, typically in late summer and early fall. Multiple families are photographed on the same day. Sign up for my newsletter below to be notified as soon as registration opens—spots fill quickly!
Do you offer mini sessions?
For outdoor portrait sessions, I always plan ahead. When possible, we’ll reserve a backup date in case of inclement weather and adjust as needed to ensure the best experience and light.
What happens if it rains?
Portrait galleries are delivered within 2-3 weeks via a private online gallery. Wedding clients receive a preview within a week, with the full gallery delivered within one month of the wedding.
When will we receive the images?
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date. For weddings, the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding day. For portrait sessions, the balance is due on the day of the session.
